Moody's raises Iceland's credit rating

Friday, 08 February 2013
The credit rating agency Moody's on Thursday raised Iceland's credit rating from negative to stable.
After country's victory in the EFTA Court last month, in relation to the dispute over the online saving bank, Icesave with the UK and the Netherland, and the fact that the country has been performing incredible well, there has been increased confidence in the country's economic situation.

The court concluded that Iceland does not need to use taxpayers' money to pay the Dutch and the British who deposited money in the bank, which collapsed in 2008.
Moody's also commends the Government of Iceland for the country's economic recovery.
