How the Husby crisis in the Stockholm neighbourhood forcing Sweden to painfully adopt some colour in public life
Wednesday, 03 July 2013
The pressure heaped on the non-white people in Sweden bulged into riots in the Stockholm suburbs and related neighbourhood last May and which shocked the world.
One reason for this was the view from outside Sweden that living in one of the best places to live on earth will not show the type of racial divide that epitomised the rioting.
The BBC has made a radio documentary that examines why and how the
rioting took place and where Sweden is heading thereafter especially
with the emergence of a strange looking black police officer on the
streets of Stockholm.
Read more from BBC's Assignment: Sweden's angry suburbs is broadcast on the BBC World Service on Thursday 4 July 2013.
