Corruption perception index - what has changed in the Scandinavia?

Wednesday, 05 December 2012
Finland  and Denmark are the least corrupt countries in the Scandinavia and added to the world, New Zealand joins then on the helm.
This comes from pressure group, Transparency International's 2012 Corruption Perceptions index in which Sweden came 4th.

Of the 27 EU member countries, corruption is the biggest problem in Greece. Also Italian fare badly - worse than, say, Romania.

According to Transparency International, corruption continues to be a massive problem. Two thirds of the world's countries have a very bad grade in the report.

"Governments need to integrate anti-corruption actions into all public decision-making. Priorities include better rules on lobbying and political financing, making public spending and contracting more transparent and making public bodies more accountable to people,” said  Huguette Labelle, the Chair of Transparency International.
