Swedish opposition bloc, the Red Green Coalition poised leads in opinion polls but government coalition catching up

The Swedish opposition coalition, the Red - Green coalition is leading in the Swedish political scene. Therefore, if elections were to be held today, the RED Green Coalition will hold a 46 percent lead.

However, the governing alliance coalition, which has long been underperforming in past is almost catching up the Red-Green bloc with 45.9. The survey conducted by Demoskop differs only by a 0.3 percentage points between the blocs.

For individual parties, Conservative Moderates have 31.9 per cent, an increase of 3.2 percentage points, while the Social Democrats sloped by 2.2 percentage points to 32.6 percent.

Centre Party reached 3.9 percent and the Christian Democrats got 2.9 percent support.
Another winner in the poll, published in the Swedish tabloid newspaper, Expressen, is the far right Sweden Democrats, which landed at 7.1 percent.

None of the changes are statistically significant, the newspaper said.
