Sweden continues with renewable energy expansion with another wind farm built

More wind farms are being constructed in Sweden with a new one to build in an area between Jämtland and Västernorrland, in northern Sweden.

The so-called investment decision pushed forward by the energy companies, Statkraft and SCA's see wind farms emerging in Ögonfägnad and Björkhöjden in Ragunda, Strömsunds and Sollefteå communes are now in progress.

In this stage, some 123 wind turbines to be built at a cost of Skr6 billion and construction will begin immediately.

Some seven planned wind farms are to be built in the area and it is the largest wind power project in Sweden with a total of 360 wind turbines.
