The Swedish corporate scene continues to be tough as new figures from organisation, Creditsafe, for October show that the number of corporate bankruptcies here continues to increase. However, the increase is not as dramatic as in September.
In October, 521 companies went out of business, compared with 493 in the corresponding month last year which was an increase of 6 percent. So far this year, the company bankruptcies increased by 12 percent.
The statistics also show that even more employees continue to suffer from corporate bankruptcies. Until October, the figure for those affected was up to 18,792 full-time employees, which is 30 percent more than last year.
