IT consultancy Logica is reported to be laying off between 350 and 400 people in Sweden according to media reports.
"That's right the Cutbacks will be affecting 350-400 services in Sweden. We have informed union representatives and the goal is to inform interested person in november," says press officer at Logica, Asa Thoft to Swedish media source IT24.
Earlier this year, 280 people were forced to quit the company in Sweden. In Finland, 250 employees were laid off, according to media reports.
Logica is now part of the Canadian consulting giant CGI. In an interview with IT24 Logica Sweden-CEO Bjorn Ivroth responded in August, on the question of how much redundancy that the merger will lead to that:
"As a result of the merger, there really will be no redundancy at all. Since then demand has been decreasing."
