Bonuses for Finnair's Management
Wednesday, 07 March 2012
The airline Finnair paid almost € 2.8 million (nearly Skr25 million) in
extra bonuses to its executives that they would remain in the company's
service for the period 2009 and 2011.
A total of 18 managers received a bonus, according to details from an annual report published on Wednesday.
The bonus decision was made back in 2009 when the company's former chief executive Jukka Hienonen resigned.
The bonuses were a "reward of one-off" payment to secure the continued operation of its top executives.
Finnair has been dogged by strikes in the past months and jobs cuts to
keep the company afloat and counter competition from low caost carriers.
