Nordic cities not too expensive for expatriates - But not Norway which is the priciest and Helsinki the cheapest

Scandinavia is reputed o its expensiveness but it turn out that other
cities around the world has tended to be more expensive than expected.
In a recent survey, which focused on cost of living around the world,
it emerged that Helsinki is cheaper to live in than other Nordic
capitals. The survey by the consulting firm ECA International placed
Helsinki at number 20 on the list of most expensive capitals for
expatriates to live in.
Within the Nordics thus, the international ranking profiles Helsinki as
the cheapest with Copenhagen (Denmark) ranking 12th and Stockholm
(pictured) came in 15th position.
The survey published on Friday, found that Tokyo, Japan is no longer
the priciest city, Oslo Norwegian capital is now the priciest place for
expat. Tokyo, persistently ranked the most expensive place for the past
three years, was pushed down to 6th according to the survey.
Therefore Luanda in Angola, Stavanger in Norway, Juba in southern Sudan
and the Russian capital Moscow are the leading most expensive places to
live for expat.
The cost of living in some African countries was found to be
relatively high because increased imported western goods are often
highly priced.
