Swedish state owned companies report strong profitability
Wednesday, 26 September 2012During the first half of 2012, Swedish state owned companies strengthened their overall performance by 58 percent over the same period last year, according to a report from the Ministry of Finance.
Profit after tax increased from Skr18.7 to Skr29.4 billion. Revenues fell 4 percent.
Sales fell by 4 per cent from Skr168.1 to Skr161.8 billion during the period compared to the same period last year. The decrease was primarily attributable to that Vattenfall sold off businesses.
The value of the state portfolio of companies is about Skr580 billion.
