Nordic regions biggest bank, Nordea to further cuts more jobs

Nordea, Nordic region's biggest bank, is to further cuts approximately 800 more workers in two years according information release in its capital market day in London, according to Swedish media reports quoting Reuters news agency.

Nordea said it aims to return its excess cash to shareholders and is seeking the best way to do so while staying flexible as regulations shift.

The jobs cuts, some 2.5 percent of its work workforce, by the end of 2015 is part of a plan to save €450 million over the next two years. The action comes after a cuts of 2,700 employees since 2011.
