Nokia continue to push its forward its austerity will be cutting fork force both in Finland and abroad.
Thursday, 17 January 2013Finnish Mobile manufacturer, Nokia, plans to reduce workforce in earnest both in Finland and abroad.
Finnish media sources say that the company's approximately 2,000 IT employees have been called to a meeting on Thursday at 10.00 am, to watch a video broadcast from the headquarters in Espoo.
Nokia's IT manager Juha Turkki have signed the notice of the meeting, to be held in Espoo, Oulu, Salo and Tampere. Abroad meetings are reported to be held in Beijing, Chennai, London and Singapore.
In recent years, Nokia has negotiated with several companies to outsource IT management. The company announced in June that it would reduce the workforce in Finland with 3700 employees, and globally with 10,000. 2700 people have since been terminated. Nokia's workforce total work force stands as nearly 140,000 employees.
