The reports hold that the offer also includes educational elements, funding proposals and offers of counter-trade by Saab.
The offer has been developed in close cooperation with Croatia, which will soon have to replace their existing MiG-21's. According to Jerry Lindberg, Project Manager for Croatia FXM, he wants that Gripen aircraft should be operational within a year.

Any transaction involves the purchase of the existing Gripen version against the 22 jets of the E / F model that Switzerland would buy. The plan is a completely rebuilt future version that Sweden will develop along with Switzerland.
