Corporate Bankruptcies in Sweden soar
Friday, 05 October 2012 The number of corporate bankruptcies in Sweden reached 501 in September, which means an increase of 24 percent compared with the same month in the 2011.
According to data statistics from the business and credit information company UC, in a press release, for the period January to September, the number of corporate bankruptcies was 4857 items, 11 percent more than in the corresponding period of the 2011.
UC notes that bankruptcy statistics confirm the pessimistic economic signals reported from several directions. In September, mainly companies in the private services sector, wholesale trade and transport sector were hit hard.
Regionaly, the metropolitan counties of Stockholm and Västra Götaland were also hard while Skåne went the opposite way.
All the company failures were accounted to have amounted to 605 in September, an increase of 23 percent compared with the same month last year.
