More Swedish people would prefer to take early retirement
Friday, 03 August 2012
Although the consensus in various policy places hold that it is
important that people work longer these days, in Sweden, a record high
percentage of the country's 61-year-olds want to hop out of the work
place right now.
They want to take out early retirement income according to the details
on the Pension Online newsletter, referring to the Swedish Pension
Authority's expenditure forecast.
During the first six months of the year, 6.4 percent of women and 8.4
percent of the men went out of work and applied for early pension. It
is the highest ever determination by the older workforce to skip work
in ten years.
