How the Danes spend money on holiday homes based in Sweden

About one Skr1 billion is spent by Danes away every year when they visit their cabins or what is known as holidays homes in Sweden.

On average, the Danes will visit their 12 350 Danish vacation home Sweden 15 times a year and stay for a total of 43 days, according to statistics from the homes association Danish Crofter and travel consultant Resource.

The Danes have the highest amount of such homes in Sweden located in the regions of Kronoberg – some 30 percent, followed by Scania, Halland and Jönköping.
