Danish economic feeling improve somewhat
Thursday, 19 April 2012
Danes are feeling positive about their economy and feel that the future
looks brighter after a period of persistent economic battery.
This reflects positive trend in consumer confidence, which has risen
four consecutive months and now stands at around zero from previous
negative.
“Consumers are beginning to look a little more positive about the
future. This is good news for the Danish economy and housing market.
Let us rejoice in every positive contribution to the improvement of the
situation in the housing market,” says Karsten Beltoft, Director of
Mortgage Association, in a comment.
The consumer confidence indicator in April was 0.6 from -0.4 in March,
figures from Statistics Denmark. The figures are important because they
are an indicator of which way the Danish economy moving.
At the same time it is assessed that consumers of both the Danish
family and Denmark's economic situation today is worse than a year ago.
