Monday, 21 October 2013
Thailand is said t be interested in buying six Swedish Gripen fighter aircraft within the next ten years.

Swedish media sources report that the Thais was to shop for a batch of six Saab JAS 39C/D Gripen combat aircraft for the Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTAF) for the purchase by 2024.

If the purchase were concluded, the country would boast 18 Gripen aircraft. The Air Force in September had expressed a wish to the Swedish government on the purchase. Thai media wrote about it but Saab, which produces the Gripen, would not comment if any request arrived.
