Monday, 27 February 2012
Swedish foreign Minister, Carl Bildt has been exposed once again in
another strange side of things by another Wikileaks leaks. In one of
its recent releases, Bildt is reported to have considered that Sweden
should become a superpower, that Putin is a "chetnik" and that Bildt is in intense disagrees with French president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
In an email exchange with the think tank, Strategic Forecasting
(Stratfor) which was apparently intercepted by Wikileaks, it provides
information as to what is in the mind of the minister, reports Swedish
television.
The source, known as SW501, describes Carl Bildt, as very smart with a
photographic memory. Bildt is also reported to have a frosty
relationship with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt dating from the time
when Reinfeldt was MUF chairman and him Bildt Prime Minister of Sweden.
According to the source Bildt stated that Sweden should become a
superpower in the world. He talks a lot about Sweden's traditional
influence in the Baltic region, and experience in the Balkans means
that he does not like Croats and Albanians.
The documents released by WikiLeaks, described Bildt as very critical
of Russia and he is considered persona non grata there. He would also
have called Putin a "chetnik" Serbian nationalist.
Bildt according SW501 also disagree with France's president Sarkozy
after Sweden criticized France at the time of the Swedish EU presidency.
In the correspondences it also noted that Carl Bildt work for an
enlargement of the EU. The purpose according to it is stated to be to
break up the German-French domination in Europe.
Carl Bildt has no comment on the information from WikiLeaks, his press secretary Anna Charlotta Johansson said.
“We do not usually comment on Wikileaks information and this is the information of third parties.
But Bildt later commented via the micro-blog network Twitter that:
"Wikileaks has released obscure email that says for a long time I have
very long photographic memory and that I am very intelligent. This a
little ridiculous," wrote Bildt.
Less than a week ago, the tabloid newspaper, Expressen, wrote that
Wikileaks is planning an international smear campaign against Sweden
for its plan to interrogate the founder, Assange and who could be sent
to the U.S., where he is wanted for the leaks.
Among other things, the organisation has threatened to publish an
American diplomat report that Carl Bildt is singled out as an informant
for the U.S. since the 1970s.
