Though economic mayhem, Swedish people added their tally of dollar millionaires

Tuesday, 19 June 2012
As the global economy implodes gradually internally, in Sweden, there is life as usual and it seems nothing is worrying any one.  Evidence of this is the amount of millionaires that have grown in this country while several countries' economies are in crisis.

According to consulting firm, Capgemini's annual report, over 61 000 Swedish people now have wealth worth over a million US dollars in 2011. This is more than ever before, reports various Swedish news sources.

A previous record year in Capgemini's annual survey of millionaires was in 2007 when it showed that 50 900 Swedish people were dollar millionaires. During the great financial crisis the following year the number plummeted by over 22 percent, probably because Swedes have traditionally saved in shares to a large extent. And then these shares crumbled along with their wealth.

But after the dramatic collapse, the numbers of millionaires have multiplied while many treasuries in other countries have gone on their knees. Between 2009 and 2010 they increased by over 26 percent, which placed Sweden in Ten top list of countries were there is that rapid growth of dollar millionaires.
