Rioting in Stockholm spread to other cities as extreme right wing groups join in to maintain order and provoke

Saturday, 25 May 2013
The unrest that has rocked Stockholm, the Swedish capital for the past week now continued last night. The situation looks like it is now gradually degenerating into a race war for the far-rights have been spotted stepping in a more provoking manner.
As the rioting and violence is gradually spreading into the rest of Sweden, especially in those areas which we reported recently as vulnerable spots - deprived areas, the far right organisations feel that the government is doing too little to resolve the problems once and for all. So they have stepped in and were spotted patrolling the streets of southern Stockholm last night. In the epicentre of the violence, Husby, the far rights could be seen grilling sausages as a mark of provocation.Stockholm-buring
The violence last night was not as intense and the other nights but there was more damage than the other nights. In and around Stockholm the right-wingers kept police busy. Even in Linköping and Örebro, it was a messy night, with fires and violence as the far rights clashed this time indiscriminately with anybody irrespective of if they were involved in the fracas or not.
According to Swedish television, some 60 right-wing extremists poured on the streets on Friday evening and this led to about some 30 or so cars being burnt in the Stockholm suburbs.

Other reports talk of 21 cars burned in one hour on Saturday morning in the city locality of Åkersberga, which lies 30 kilometres outside Stockholm. And later in the morning, police received report of another vehicle fire in the area.

But the police do not see the incident as part of the riots that have ravaged Stockholm and other Swedish cities over the past week.

"We see it as an isolated incident; it has nothing to do with what we have seen over the past week. I can not say what the reasons may be, but we are still working on the investigation," said duty officer Kjell Lindgren to Danish Radio and Television.
"It has been more quiet Saturday evening in relation to the other energy sapping evenings, and there were small episodes compared to the other evenings. There has been enormous devastation compared to the other evening. 25 cars to 30 cars have been set on fire. And there have been three fires in schools, but again no serious injury," he said.Stockholm-Rioting
In some of the most troubled regions in Stockholm, there was quietness on Friday evening, while in other cities there are troubles brewing. Some of the towns are more than a hundred kilometres from the Swedish capital.
In Tumba, south of the city, people were attacked on the streets until the police intervened and stopped them.

"There were 50-60 people in hooded dresses running around, making very loud noises," says Towe Hägg at Stockholm police to Swedish television.
According to Stockholm and Södertörn Fire Department, some 30 and 40 call-outs were made during the late evening and night, most of burning cars in particularly Tensta, Rinkeby Norsborg Jordbrovägen and Årsta.
There were also unrest in Örebro suburbs where a gang of about 30 young masked men went around. They set fire to cars, threw stones at police and firefighters and vandalized a police station. According Örebro police, it is the violence in Stockholm that has spread to them.
Also in Linköping suburbs, it was also messy. At least eight cars were set on fire, a school, and a day care fire. By Saturday morning,  and time of this posting, no one had been reported arrested in either Linköping or Örebro.
