More racial scandals rock Sweden Democrat as another party heavyweight leaves parliament in shame.

Thursday, 29 November 2012
Persistent racial and xenophobic scandals continue to take its toll on Sweden's powerful far right party as another party parliamentarian find himself taking about their agenda outside parliament once more.

Sweden Democrat's parliamentarian, Lars Isovaara (pictured below seating) has left his assignment after making a variety of racist outcomes against a parliamentary guard, a pressured leader of the party, Jimmie Åkesson (pictured below standing) said on Thursday at a press conference.

The leader of the xenophobic party which despite various scandal has been surging in the opinion polls, called an emergency session on Thursday morning after it emerged that one of his subject parliamentarian, Lars Isovaara reported his bag stolen and which he had insisted was stolen by a Swede who happen to have an immigrant background.

It turned out that the bag had not been stolen but the parliamentarian had forgotten it in a different place - in a bar where it was subsequently found.  According to the tabloid paper, Expressen, the bag belonging Isoovara was found in a bar in central Stockholm. In it was Isovaara's parliamentary identifications documents and it was found by staff of the bar.
As such the immigrants looking Swedes did not steal from the far right parliamentarian making his accusation confirmed as driven by his deep personal and ideological disdain of someone who did not fit his profile of a person required by him to live and work in Sweden.

Party leader, Jimmie Åkesson was left once more to clear the mess he and his subordinates had created. On Thursday's press conference, with his head held down, he said that "Isovaara in agreement with the party leadership resigned from his parliamentary duties."
"We have spoken to Isovaara in the morning, he maintains that he had been robbed, but both we and he realized that it was not the case. This means that it is not possible for him to continue to remain in parliament. Lars will be replaced soon," said Akesson.

"I recognize that my behaviour makes it untenable to represent the party. I take my responsibility for what happened and has therefore resigned from my duties as a member of the Swedish Parliament, " writes Isovaara in a statement from Sweden Democrat party, according to Swedish News network, TT.

Besides the stolen bag allegation, Mr. Isovaara was also accused of having insulted the parliamentary guard, including spitting and making grunting pig sounds on him.

He said angrily to the guard that "People like you, I would not want have around," and spats in the air to show his hatred," writes Expressen.
The background of all this came on Wednesday morning where at two o'clock on the police was called to the house of parliament when the Sweden Democrat MP, Lars Isovaara had fallen out of his wheelchair and was offered help by two men. The politician then said he had lost his backpack and then when he got to the parliament entrance, he was denied entry because he did not have a valid pass.

As the police approach the scene, Lars Isovaara could be hears attacking a guard who happen to be of foreign origin. Isovaara said, according to local police, of the guard that he did not want to have people like him to do these types of things here and spat in the air.
"He also mimicked a pig sound in the presence of witnesses which was perceived as offensive," said Commissioner of police, Torsten Stålnacke and adds: "when the police sees this, it is their duty to report."
