"This will be a good opportunity to discuss political and economic developments in the world directly with President Obama, and an opportunity to present Sweden's views. I am looking forward to talks about the conditions for trade, the need for reforms and the economic situation in Europe and the world," says Mr Reinfeldt according to a press release.
Jeff Andersen, a spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, told Radio Sweden that they look forward to Obama's visit to Stockholm, but that at present there are no details of Obama's plans during the visit.

In the mean time, Russia said it is disappointed that U.S. President Barack Obama has cancelled their strategic regular scheduled meeting with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Putin's foreign policy adviser, Yuri Usjakov said.
He notes that the cancelled visit in early September is due to the fact that Russia has decided to give the defected American intelligence officer, Edward Snowden temporary asylum.

Usjakov think it shows that the U.S. is not ready to accept a relationship on equal footing between the two countries.

The White House gave the message about the cancelled visit earlier Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was expected to come ahead of the G20 summit in St. Petersburg.
