Swedish voters see lots of same things among the various political parties

Wednesday, 03 July 2013
New study shows that large majority, 67 percent, of the more than 1,550 respondents of a survey want to see major differences between the political parties in Sweden.

Just over half, 57 percent, think that the differences are small today that before radio Sweden reports.

Political scientist Magnus Hagevi, who presented the study during Almedalsveckan, the week of political discussion, debates, and presentation of various political ideas at the Swedish political retreat in Visby, think xenophobic parties may get more support because voters perceive the established parties as too similar.
