Swedish far right party, Sweden Democrats continue to appear appealing to the Swedish voters despite recent scandal

Friday, 23 November 2012
The Swedish far right party, Sweden Democrat still look appealing to the Swedish voters as its public support does not seem to have been affected by the recent scandals, if the polling result from polling organisation, Skop's latest poll is to be believed.

The poll, which was conducted between 30 October and 21 November, and thus covered the revelations of violent attitudes of members of the parliament from the far right party. The party parliamentarians  had used  iron pipes and racist and sexist comments on some people, but the Sweden Democrats  party is still holding a good position in the poll - 6.4 percent, a slight increase that is not statistically significant, but the party has not even fallen as an effect.

None of the changes for the other political parties is statistically significant, perhaps for the People's Party, which fell to 4.9 percent. The governing Moderates increased the most, to 32.2 while Social Democrats decreased slightly to 33.3. The Greens lost the most by 2.3 percentage points, which is just below the statistically significant threshold.

The Red - Green coalitions still have a lead overall by 3.6 percentage points. More than 1,100 people responded to the question "Which political party do you find best in national politics?"
