Sweden Democrats show how violent they are with tops party officials arming themselves with iron bars and threatening people

Thursday, 15 November 2012
New revelations about the leadership of the Swedish far right party, Sweden Democrats (SD) show how violent the party's position is within the Swedish political platform.
A film show how the party's top official, Kent Ekeroth, went on the rampage on the street of Stockholm, armed with iron bar push a woman and how he, along with Erik Almqvist, also armed iron rods shouted foul language to on lookers.

Erik Almqvist was forced yesterday to leave his political offices and properties of the party, Sweden Democrats, including his job as economic policy spokesperson. This the tabloid paper, Expressen had revealed a mobile movie where Almqvist mocked the comedian, Soran Ismail, and a drunk man with racist expressions "Babbe" and "nigger-lover" and called a 21-year-old woman a "whore".

It was Kent Ekeroth, Sweden Democrat's legal policy spokesman, who filmed the incident with his cell phone. Yesterday, the question about Ekeroth was raised whether he could keep his party post and place in the parliament, but after an afternoon meeting party leader,  Jimmie Åkesson  and  party secretary Björn Söder comment Ekeroths involvement and position in the party.

The mobile video film released today by Expressen has been described as troublesome for Ekeroth. The film shows what happened after Almqvist, Ekeroth and Sweden Democrats parliamentary candidate, Christian Westling leave Kungsgatan in Stockholm, the site of the first row.

There arming themselves with iron bars from a dismantled scaffolding and looked down towards Kungsgatan, Kent Ekeroth was heard shouting: "This, we do not want to do anything, we defend ourselves, we defend ourselves!"  This Ekeroth cries although the first mobile film shows that the three were driven to quarrel with a drunken man on Kungsgatan Street.

Seconds later on the mobile movie, sirens were heard from the bottom of Kungsgatan street. The politicians released the iron pipes and run away laughing.

Erik Almqvist said yesterday that he and his colleagues felt persecuted when they went up against Regeringsgatan, but he did not mention that they had armed themselves with iron bars.
After Erik Almqvist, Kent Ekeroth said that he will be taking a "time out" as a result of the racist, violence and sexist scandal, said the party, according to various Swedish media sources.
