In a recent political opinion poll to determine how the Swedish voters are weighing on their political positions and how they see the performance of their parties and how those parties attract new members, the far right party, Sweden Democrats are growing while the blocs remain steady.
Sweden Democrats have touched a record 7.2 percentage points. While killing the Christian Democrats, forcing it to struggle to get access to the parliament if elections were to be held today.
The governing coalition, the Alliance's initiative on various financial news has not left any impression in voters' opinion, writes Swedish newspaper, Svenska Dagbladet (SvD). As from today, there is exactly two years to go until the election and not much separates the blocs.
The Red - Green
coalition saw their 7.7 point lead over the governing coalition shrink
to 4.2 percentage points. The Alliance initiative on research and
infrastructure recently has not impressed.
"When there is an election year usually changes in public opinion occur more slowly if it is not bad news, of course. Then voters will react immediately, says Toivo Sjörén, head of Sifo opinion polls, to SvD
The Red - Green opposition parties have reduced by a total of 2.3 percentage points and the government parties have gone up 1.2 percent according to polling organisation, Sifo's voter barometer for September. But all the changes compared to August are small and within the statistical margin of error.
What may be more important for the government than the budget gambit can be a united front - to show that there are no cracks in the alliance.
