New poll results show the Social Democrats match forward

The Swedish Social Democrats party reached a new peak in opinion polls with a new voters’ barometer showing the party making more gains.

According to opinion polling results from polling organisation Skop, the party has increased in the third poll in a row and goes up 4.1 percentage points to 34.9 percent. The Red - Green opposition coalition made up of the Social Democrats, Greens and the Communist left party has the support of 49.1 percent and leads clear over the current governing coalition, Alliance’s 43.9 percent.

All governing parties lose and the Christian Democrats fell further and further down below the Riksdag threshold and get 2.9 percent.

Far right Sweden Democrats, however, improved by 1.6 percentage points to 6.1 percent.
