More political tension in Norway as Man arrested for death threats against PM Stoltenberg

Wednesday, 06 June 2012
Norway continues to be a place where politics is getting more and more bitter. Just as seen in the USA against Obama, the PM of Norway Stoltenberg is under enormous pressure from people who hate the way the country is going.

This time it is the son of a famous politician in the Norwegian Labour Party who has been arrested on suspicion of murder threats against his stepfather and the Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg.

Police armed with automatic weapons arrested the man Friday. On Monday, it was decided that he should be kept in custody to July 2.

“I can confirm that the police security service has arrested a person. The person concerned is suspected of a serious threat,” says communications director Tron Hugubakken of the Norwegian security police, PST to the paper, Dagbladet.

The man's lawyer says his client is accused of death threats against his stepfather, and Stoltenberg.
