Finnish far right party leader on BBC Hard Talk program - His party is not racist

The Finnish far right party chairman Timo Soini appeared on BBC program hard talk on Wednesday and rejected accusations that his party is a racist party. Something other Finnish political leaders such as the Swedish party chairman, Carl Haglund finds very worrying.

According to reports on Finnish media sources, Carl Haglund is unhappy over the True Finns leader, Timo Soini conduct the BBC on Wednesday.

Soini visited the program Hardtalk where he went up against the wall for the True Finns parliamentary members racist statements.

According to Haglund, the interview show that Soini does not see racism as a serious problems in the True Finns party and something that his party supposed to be working hard to eradicate in the greater Finnish society.

"Soini embarrass not only his party, but also damage Finland's reputation in one of the world's most respected news media," Haglund said, according to Yle.
When Soini went on HARDtalk he was asked whether there is racism within his party, he said neither he nor the True Finns hate anyone, but it probably occurs in occasional outbreaks.
