Finnish President Niinistö to meet Obama in Sweden

US president Barack Obama is coming to Sweden and every body here is juggling for position. While demonstrators would be outside in he cold or likely being restrained by the police, Swedish Premier, Fredrik Reinfeldt will be accompanies by the Finnish president, Sauli Niinistö to wine and dine with the US president.

obamaAccording to Finnish broadcaster, Yle, the two are to meet in conjunction with a working dinner hosted by Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt.

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will meet Barack Obama as part of a summit with Nordic leaders in Stockholm on September 4, Yle said. This is to confirm speculations, which was rife recently in the press questioning whether Obama would meet only the Swedish Prime Minister or not.

According to Yle, Niinistö told them that he was pleased to receive the invitation, and that he hoped to discuss global developments with Obama.
