Corrected: Finland considering buying Sweden's fighter jet Jas Gripen

Friday, 21 December 2012
Finland is considering buying Swedish made fighter jets the Gripen when the country will be reviewing and upgrading its fighter jets fleets.

This comes from Finnish media network MTV3 which in an interview with a top political official, Eero Heinäluoma, Finland should consider purchasing JAS Gripen when the current aircraft are to be replaced.

According to him, the need for a Finnish defence to be gradually upgraded during the next term should make it look as a Nordic union defence system whereby the countries in the area would be in a position use a single type of  fighter jets, so as support huge savings in things such as maintenance, knowledge and use.
