Silf / Swedbank write in a comment that it is the first time since November last year that growth in service companies came to a halt. Although the monthly fluctuations should be taken with some caution, the overall index shows a modest recovery during the last three months compared to the previous period.

All sub-indices of the PMI services fell in April. The largest negative contribution was the volume of business, followed by new orders. Index of supplier delivery times are the only sub variable in service PMI that was in the growth zone, although the index fell.

Silf / Swedbank use the seasonally adjusted index, which is officially recognized. Non-seasonally adjusted index fell to 51.2 in April from 54.4 the previous month.
