Up to 800 jobs to go at the Karolinsk

Karolinska University Hospital (KS) in Solna and Huddinge are considering cutting its full time workforce by 700 – 800 people.
"Personnel costs have increased far too rapidly for the past 18 months," the hospital director Birgir Jakobsson said in a statement.

According to him, the aim of meeting staff shedding will occur through normal attrition, that is, without layoffs.
Karolinska University is in deficit and need to cut costs by Skr650 million.
