Swedish unemployment reported at 7.8 percent

In the first quarter of this year there were 391 000 persons, 7.8 percent of the workforce unemployed, official data from Statistics Sweden show.

For men, their unemployment rate 8.2 percent and women 7.5 percent.
The number of employed persons stood at 4.586 million people, an increase of 29 000 over the same quarter last year.
