Swedish unemployment continues to rise

Unemployment in Sweden continues to rise with latest data from the
Employment Service, showing that the number of workforce that has
become unemployed increased by 1274 persons in week 32 compared with
the previous week.
The number of unemployed has now amounted to 218 429 person making it
an increase of 3032 people compared with the same week the previous
year.
The number of candidates in various programs of activities supported by
tax payers increased by 635 to 163861 persons, which is 9705 more
than last year. The number of job seekers who have a job but whose pay
are topped up by the treasury increased by 164 to 82066 persons, which
is 2475 more than last year.
The number of applicants who got jobs increased by 538 persons over the previous week to 8872.
The number of new vacancies advertised on the employment services sites increased by 1250 to 9223, compared with last week.
