Swedish state pension will increase next year

The Swedish state pension will increase by Skr505 per month on average next year. Skr468 million will be coming from the increase in revenue and the additional pension and Skr37 million from premium pension fund insurance.

Other changes related to seniors is the increase in the housing allowance by Skr170 per month for unmarried and a lowering of the tax by about 50 per month.

This year, the average public pension is Skr11,500 per month. At most public pension on average will increase in Stockholm. Lowest in will be in Småland, the Island of Gotland and in some communities near the border with Norway and Finland, the Swedish pension authority wrote noting that occupational pensions are increasingly important.
