Swedish private sector expands employment - increased 2.0 percent

During the second quarter of 2012 the number of person employed in various places of work in Sweden amounted to 4 268 200, an increase of 2.0 percent.

According to Statistic Sweden The number of people employed in the private sector increased by 2.5 percent and by 0.7 percent in the public sector.

Gross pay increased in total by 3.8 percent during the second quarter. Gross pay development was better for the private sector compared to the public sector. Gross pay increased by 4.3 percent in the private sector and by 2.6 percent in the public sector. The demand for labour increased and during the second quarter there were     79 500 job openings on the labour market, an increase of 1.5 percent.
