Swedish Inflation rate hits -0.2 percent

The Swedish inflation rate was -0.2 percent in February, down from 0.0 percent in January. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by an average of 0.4 percent from January 2013 to February 2013 (0.7 percent increase from January 2012 to February 2012).

Official data from Statistic Sweden show the changes and reports that the CPI for February of 2013 was 313.39.

price increases for clothing (5.0 percent) contributed upwards by 0.2 percentage points to the change from January to February. Higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.4 percent), fuel (1.8 percent), transport services (1.8 percent) and package holidays (6.1 percent) contributed each upwards by 0.1 percentage point.
The increase was offset by lower interest costs for owner occupied housing (-1.3 percent) which contributed downwards by 0.1 percentage point from January to February.

The inflation rate according to CPIF was 0.9 percent in February 2013. CPIF increased by 0.5 percent from January 2013 to February 2013 (0.7 percent increase from January 2012 to February 2012).
HICP increased by 0.6 percent from January 2013 to February 2013 and increased by 0.5 percent since February of 2012.
