Swedish Inflation rate 0.7 percent, increased 0,1 percent month on month

The inflation rate was 0.7 percent in August 2012, stable compared to July. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.1 percent from July to August 2012 (unchanged from July to August 2011).

Higher prices for clothing and footwear (3.6 percent) contributed upwards by 0.2 percentage points to the increase from July to August. Higher prices for electricity (2.3 percent), fuels (2.7 percent) and accommodation (7.2 percent) also contributed upwards by 0.1 percentage point each.

Lower prices for transport services (-5.1 percent) and package holidays (-8.3 percent) partially counteracted the increase and contributed downwards by 0.2 and 0.1 percentage point respectively.

The inflation rate according to CPIF was 0.9 percent in August 2012. CPIF increased by 0.1 percent from July to August 2012 (unchanged from July to August 2011).
HICP increased by 0.1 percent from July 2012 to August 2012 and increased by 0.9 percent since August of 2011.
