Swedes entre subdued Christmas spending mood this year

May Swedes will shrink their Christmas spreading for the first time as they feel hard hit in their wallet this year.
Three out of ten people think of spending less money on gifts this year than last year, according to a random survey of 1,000 households carried out by polling diem Ipsos for the Swedish daily, Dagens Nyehter.
3 percent of the Swedes plan to spend as much money as before, while 17 percent intend to increase their Christmas gift budget.
If the forecast holds it will means shrinkage in Christmas shopping in Sweden for the first time in 16 years.
The autumn job looses and poorer economic prospects are believed to be the drivers of this feeling.
