Sweden’s Inflation rate 1.9 percent – remain unchanged

The Swedish inflation rate was 1.9 percent in February 2012, unchanged
from January. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.7
percent from January to February 2012.
The CPI for February of 2012 was 313.92 (1980=100). Increased prices
for food (0.9 percent) and tobacco (5.5 percent), as well as higher
prices for clothing and footwear (2.0 percent), contributed upwards by
0.1 percentage point each to the change from January to February.
Further, rises in the price of fuel (2.1 percent), transportation
services (2.2 percent), electricity (1.7 percent) and package holidays
(4.7 percent) contributed upwards by 0.1 percentage point each.
The inflation rate according to CPIF was 1.1 percent and according to
CPIX 1.2 percent in February 2012. CPIF increased by 0.7 percent and
CPIX increased by 0.7 percent from January to February 2012. HICP
increased by 0.7 percent from January to February 2012 and increased by
1.0 percent since February of 2011.
