Slow in new job growth in Sweden as weariness continued to dog employers
Tuesday, 12 June 2012
The Swedish labour market will create 20.000 jobs this year and next
year, a new job growth forecast from the Swedish employment service
predicts.
Unemployment is according to the prediction to remain the same the Employment Service said in a report out today.
The new jobs will be mainly in the construction sector and in private
services, where demand is still high. This year, employment will grow
by 5,000 people and 15,000 people next.
Unemployment is forecast to remain virtually unchanged. In addition, it
is predicted that those enrolled at the job centre (open employment and
in employment programs) increased from 377 000 people in 2012 to 405000
people in 2013. One reason for this increase is that the Employment
Service will increase for the newly arrived people.
