Sales of Volvo cars in Europe continues to fall

Swedish - Chinese automobile brand Volvo cars is seeing continuous fall in sales in Europe, including Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, compared with the same month last year.
From 20,735 new car registrations in February 2012 to 17,860 the same month this year, a drop of nearly 3000 cars, for a brand that supposed to be gaining market shares in its traditional market.


Total sales of Volvo car fell by 14.9 percent on the whole and, specifically the car sales across Europe (including Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland) fell with 10.5 percent.

Best car in the market in terms of growing sales is luxury brand Jaguar which again increases sales - this time by almost 29 percent in absolute terms which means additional 287 luxury cars sold compared with February 2012.

Ford sales fell over 20 percent and does GM brands. Lexus loses third, while Honda and Jaguar increases almost as much, according to report.

For the Swedish market car sales here decreased according to ACEA with a total of 13.9 percent compared to February 2012. Netherlands and Finland fell by over 20 percent.
