Fewer new cars sold in Sweden in March

In March 28 555 new cars were registered in Sweden, down 3.3 percent compared to March last year, reports Bil Sweden which keep the numbers.

So far this year 67 976 new cars have been registered, 2.6 percent fewer than the same period last year.

Leading position among the cars are the Volvo V70 II with 5418 registrations so far this year, compared to 4606 during the corresponding period last year. Second is the VW Passat in 4821 (2,380) and third in the Volvo S / V 60 of 3350 (3322).

According to Statistics Sweden, 30 436 news cars were registered in Sweden, down 3.8 percent from the same month last year.
In Statistics Sweden’s data is included imported cars of all model years, in contrast to figures from Bil Sweden’s data includes only cars that are registered for the first time as they leave the factory in the past three model years.
