During the work, all ATMs will have a common interface meaning that they will be uniformity of keyboards, bankcard placement at the machine, from which cash is collected and the ability to obtain bank statements on all machines.

"At the same time, all customers will be able to use all the automatic services of their  banks at all ATMs, which also applies to additional services. The possibilities of the machine will be controlled by which card the customer uses, according to Stefan Berglind.
The sensitive aspect of costs of the modernization of ATM system is not being talked about. According to the banks, though, the new machines are to meet today's security requirements better. Large banks have assigned the management of the machines in the joint venture to a relatively newly established ATM AB and that means that many of its machines will be modernized.
