Fall in new orders for Swedish industries as uncertainty persists

New orders for Swedish industry decreased by 0.2 percent in seasonally
adjusted figures in June compared to May. When comparing June of this
year and the same month of the previous year, new orders decreased by
1.9 percent in working day adjusted figures, official data from
statistic Sweden shows
The industry sub-sectors showed a mixed development in June compared to
May. The electronics industry and the industry for other transport
equipment developed strongly, while the machinery industry preformed
weakly. During the last three-month period (April-June) new orders in
total increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous three-month
period.
New orders from the domestic market increased by 2.0 percent in June
compared to May. During the last three-month period new orders
increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous three-month period.
New orders from the export market decreased by 1.8 percent in June
compared to May. During the last three-month period new orders
increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous three-month period.
On an annual basis new orders in total continued to decrease.
