Despite recent scandals - TeliaSonera is not blacklisted

Despite growing allegations of corruption carried out by the Swedish / Finnish state owned  telecom giant, TeliaSonera, the company is not blacklisted by either banks or mutual fund companies.

According to Swedish television, there are few Swedish companies one the whole that ever blacklisted even if they break the rules of meet the requirements for blacklisting.

There are several ongoing investigations against the Swedish state TeliaSonera regarding both corruption and bribery, but the company is not blacklisted by Ethix, the specialized company that the vast majority of banks and institutional investors gives it the power to monitor companies that behave adversely.

They have set the standard for a so-called norm-based selection - which means that a company is not blacklisted until it has been convicted of crimes against international law, reports Swedish television.
We reported recently that TeliaSoner were involves in a deal with Uzbekistan which the Swedish television investigated and determined that there where aspects of their business that seem looked like bribery and corruption.
