The Swedish government expands investment in research and development

The Swedish government is investing Skr4 billion in research and innovation for the long term strengthening of Sweden's position as a leading research nation, the government writes in a press release.

This will include a particular focus on the so-called life sciences implemented.
In total, the investment will reach Skr11.5 billion the years 2013 - 2016 according to the press release. This means that funding for innovation and research will gradually increased to Skr4 billion, with full effect from 2016.
