The spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria continues to grow. New
figures from the Swedish Disease Control show that the reported 1579
cases of methicillin-resistant staphylococci, MRSA, in 2010 was really
an increase of seven percent compared to 2009.
Multi-resistant intestinal bacteria, ESBL, are growing even stronger.
In 2010, 4983 cases reported were reported, an increase of 33 percent.
